Chelmsford Civic Theatres are looking to increase its pool of Front of House Assistants, to cover operational requirements across both the Civic and Cramphorn Theatres.
The job is varied and interesting and we are looking for people with a passion for theatre and hospitality to help us make the theatre magic while contributing to the business by driving sales on the front line. One night you might be meeting and greeting visitors, showing them to their seats and dealing with general visitor enquiries and on another night you might be serving drinks, snacks, sweets and ice creams in one of our three bars or main Kiosk. Understanding and participating in all aspects of the theatre's evacuation procedures is also an essential part of the role.
The Theatre Team prides itself on its friendliness. Good customer care skills and a helpful and flexible attitude are essential.
The Theatres are a 7 day a week operation and the successful applicants will be required to work on a casual basis. This will include working evenings and weekends along with day time shifts.
Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment. This includes obtaining references and ensuring compliance with the Disclosure and Barring Service process.
